Couple jailed for drug supply after teenager dies in Exeter

Judge James Adkin told the two teenagers: “You were both active dealers of class A drugs.”

He added that Rowsell was driven by “simple greed for money” that was “bigger than your concern for any particular customer”.

He said: “Rowsell was in business for himself. He was in it for the money and the status.

“The business had been going on for months. He sold 35 that night alone and planned to sell more.

“He was targeting young people and selling to children in a nightclub where there was no alcohol, it was entirely aimed at children and it was a dry evening.”

He added: “Lucy Hill died because you sold her medicine, you sold her two tablets even though you had concerns about the dosage.

“It seems to me that you were just greedy, and your greed for money was greater than your concern for any client.”
