Duluth Police Department reports a string of thefts

The Duluth Police Department reported a series of burglaries during the week of November 4th.

The first burglary was reported in the 200 block of West Kent Road, and a subsequent burglary was reported on Nov. 5 in the 1500 block of Vermillion Road. Both thefts were reported between 18:00 and 20:00.

“During the initial investigation, it was determined that a person identified as a white male entered both residences and threatened those inside. “One resident in the West Kent Road incident was transported to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries,” explained Duluth Police Department Public Information Officer Mattie Hjelseth. “Two residents in the Vermilion Road incident were also transported by Mayo Ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. “He was transported to a local hospital.”

The Duluth Police Department believes the incidents may be related. They are asking the community if they see anything suspicious to contact the department at 218-730-5050 or text 847411.

The incidents are under investigation and the Duluth Police Department will provide additional details as more information becomes available.
