Windsor police searching for second suspect in violent downtown attack

The Windsor Police Service is asking for the public’s help in finding a second suspect connected to a violent stabbing in downtown Monday.

One person was taken into custody shortly after the attack, in which the pair allegedly stabbed a man multiple times, hit him with a metal pole and left him in critical condition, while Windsor police issued an arrest warrant for a second suspect.

Officers responded to a report of an assault at the intersection of Pelissier Street and West Erie Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Police teams arriving at the scene determined that the 38-year-old man was in life-threatening condition. He was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The investigation revealed that there was a verbal argument between the victim and two other men. The argument turned into a physical conflict. The two suspects allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife and hit him with a metal pole.

Police are looking for a 30-year-old man Who is Skylar Scott? wanted on charges Assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Windsor police describe Scott as an Indigenous male, approximately 6 feet, 10 inches tall, of medium build, with long, curly black hair pulled back into a ponytail. He was wearing a gray shirt and beige pants or shorts at the time of the incident.

On Tuesday, police found and arrested the 39-year-old Jeffrey Major andin the 800 block of Ouellette Boulevard. Major faces charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
