6 South Carolina residents arrested after deadly homecoming party shooting in Elbert County

ATLANTA, GA. (Atlanta News First) – Six South Carolina residents have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Elbert County, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

The GBI said the attack occurred just before midnight on Oct. 12 at a prom afterparty hosted by Elbert County High School students. Four people were shot and a 15-year-old was killed.

Jarquacious Scott, 18, was arrested on October 17. Destanne Mathis, 20, and Aanidras Parks, 18, were arrested on October 28. Jerimiyah Hughes, 19, and Desmond Latimer, 18, were arrested on October 30. GBI.

Christopher Bell, 19, was arrested today in Dekalb County.
