Big 12 Week 11 Matches and Predictions

Big 12 Week 11 Matches and Predictions

Week 11 of college football has arrived! There are plenty of rivalry games being played this week, both in and out of conference, including Utah at BYU and West Virginia at Cincinnati.

Week 11 features conference play only! There are six conference games. I think the best game this week will be Colorado playing at Texas Tech.

*Arizona, Baylor, Houston and Kansas State have their second bye week.

All times listed are Central Time.

West Virginia in Cincinnati

Saturday, 23:00, FS1

West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene drops back and passes to Kansas State.

Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby He has been excellent this season and will create problems for WVU’s 115th-ranked pass defense. Mountaineers quarterback Garrett Greene He has battled under pressure and stayed healthy this season. Cincinnati has the defense ranked 102nd in yards allowed per game, and West Virginia needs to take advantage of that fact. I think Cincinnati’s offense will win them this game. I think Cincinnati would be interested.

To choose: Cincinnati

#17 Iowa State, Kansas

Saturday, 14:30, FS1

Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels is coming up short against Kansas State.

Iowa State is coming off a bad loss against Texas Tech and looks to bounce back this week. Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht Despite the team’s loss, he performs well. The Cyclones’ kicker kicked a field goal to win the game and hopefully he got past that. Kansas is coming off a bye week and their quarterback is Jalon DanielsHe plays like himself again. He could cause problems for the Cyclone’s defense due to his dual-threat ability. I think Iowa State came out and made a statement in this game. Take Iowa State by -2.5 points.

To choose: Iowa State

#20 Colorado at Texas Tech

Saturday, 15:00, FOX

Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton throws a pass to Iowa State.

Texas Tech had its best win of the season. They lost to TCU and Baylor two weeks ago and looked set to fall in the conference standings. Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton He struggled for most of last week but held the offense to two points on his last two drives. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders He has been great this season and should have the opportunity to throw for a lot of yards against the Red Raiders. Texas Tech has a terrible pass defense, ranking 133rd in the nation against the pass. Expect lots of yards from wide receivers like Travis Hunter And La Johntay Webster. I think Colorado will close at -3.5.

Oklahoma State vs TCU

Saturday, 18:00, FS1

Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II runs the ball against Arizona State.

TCU lost a tough game against Baylor last week and this game gives them an opportunity to get back on track. TCU had two interior defensive linemen injured against Baylor. This is too bad for the Horned Frogs; They’re already struggling against the run, and losing two starters won’t make things any easier. Oklahoma running back Ollie Gordon II He should have his best game of the season against TCU. While OSU’s offensive line is below average, TCU’s defense struggles against the run and will need to figure out how to stop Gordon. Oklahoma State has a lot of value at +328 and can easily win this game. I think the Cowboys’ top ten defense in the country will be their undoing.

To choose: TCU

UCF at Arizona State

Saturday, 6 p.m., ESPN2

Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt tackles Oklahoma State.

Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt It is healthy and dangerous. He played just once, against Cincinnati two weeks ago. Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo He’s one of the best running backs in the country and he’s having the best game of his career. The Sun Devils’ quarterback-running back tandem is fast and difficult for defenses to stop. Leavitt is a talented passer who can beat teams with his arms and legs. UCF just destroyed Arizona and comes into this game hot. UCF running back R.J. Harvey He is one of the top five running backs in the country and one of many talented running backs in UCF’s running back room. Right now ASU is up by three points and I think they can match it. The extreme under is 56, which will most likely be the over rather than the under.

To choose: Arizona State

BYU in Utah

Saturday, 21:15, ESPN

BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff runs the ball while being dragged by multiple UCF defenders.

BYU is the only team in the Big 12 to remain undefeated. Nobody saw this coming. Utah’s offense was pretty slow for most of the season. I don’t see them winning this game. The Utes’ saving grace is that the game is being played at home. Utah is a four-point underdog to the Cougars, and I think the Cougars will defend this game.

To choose: BYU

#3 Georgia at #16 Ole Miss

Saturday, 14:30, ABC

Ole Miss quarterback and wing Jaxson Dart and Jordan Watkins celebrate scoring a touchdown against Arkansas.

November 2, 2024; Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA; Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart (2) and offensive lineman Jordan Watkins (11) celebrate after a touchdown against the Arkansas Razorbacks in the third quarter at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Mississippi won 63-31. Mandatory Credit: Nelson Chenault-Imagn Images / Nelson Chenault-Imagn Images

Ole Miss is on the outside looking in at the College Football Playoffs and needs to win this game. The defense of the rebels became the unsung hero of the year; They are the nation’s second-best team against the run and rank 22nd in total yards allowed. Even though Ole Miss averages the second-most yards per game in the country, the Rebels have struggled against programs above .500 this season. They scored 63 points against Arkansas last week. Georgia is a complete team in every way except the quarterback position. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck He should use the ball more carefully and stop throwing it off his back foot. Georgia is our three-point favorite and I think I will win this game.

To choose: Georgia

#11 Alabama at #15 LSU

Saturday, 18:30, ABC

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe runs towards Toriano Pride Jr. against the Missouri Tigers.

October 26, 2024; Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe (4) tries for a first down in the first half against Missouri Tigers cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. (2) at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Butch Dill-Imagn Images / Butch Dill-Imagn Images

Alabama is playing football right now, hot or cold. They are a formidable opponent when the team is firing on all cylinders; other times the offense stalls and struggles to get down the field. Crimson Tide led by quarterback Jalen MilroeHe may be the most athletic quarterback in the country. LSU’s quarterback Garrett NussmeierA gunslinger who is defensively dangerous. Both teams are coming off a bye week, which helps Alabama even more because it gives Milroe more time to recover by running the ball. I think LSU will win this game because it is in Death Valley and because of Nussmeier’s play at quarterback. LSU is a three-point underdog.

To choose: LSU
