YouTube star racing through the streets of New York dies in high-speed crash near JFK airport

NEW YORK — A car influencer who posted YouTube videos showing drag races on the streets of New York City was killed when his speeding BMW crashed into a light pole near John F. Kennedy airport, police said.

Andre Beadle, 25, crashed on the Nassau Expressway near the airport just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, the NYPD said in a news release. Beadle was thrown from the car in front of a small crowd of horrified onlookers.

Beadle, who lives in the Bronx and is known as 1Stockf30 on social media, had 240,000 followers on Instagram and 59,000 followers on YouTube. He had posted videos of himself racing his purple BMW M240 through city streets and at a racetrack in Pennsylvania.

One night video shows a group of men blocking traffic on a highway in the city and then straightening the road in preparation for the race.

Fans posted tributes after Beadle’s death. “Relax,” one Instagram poster read. “You’ve done great things for the street and drag racing scene. A legend forever.” Others criticized him for not taking security seriously.

Police said the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
