Royal family release emotional video to highlight Queen Camilla’s work as she falls ill

Buckingham Palace has shared an emotional video of Queen Camilla, who was forced to pull out of planned engagements this week after suffering a chest infection.

In the meaningful video shared by the royal family and two other people, the 77-year-old Queen’s work to end domestic violence was highlighted.

“For more than a decade, the Queen has been working to amplify the voices of survivors of stories of domestic and sexual violence,” the Palace wrote alongside the video.

He added: “You can find out more about Her Majesty’s work in this area and the vital conversations she helps platform in the upcoming ITV documentary ‘Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors’.”

The video came a day after the palace revealed: “Her Majesty the Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest.”

“With great regret, Her Majesty has had to withdraw from her duties this week, but hopes to recover in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.”

The Queen missed this year’s Field of Remembrance event at London’s Westminster Abbey on Thursday, which allowed former service personnel and others to erect a poppy memorial to commemorate those who lost their lives in the armed forces.
