Best College Football Bets for Rice vs. Memphis in Week 11

Rice looks to continue its late-season surge to finish the regular season against a spiraling Memphis team.

Can we make money in the player support market when both teams are trending in opposite directions? I see Rice running back Dean Conners as a prop on the offensive end, as well as a way to bolster the team’s defense in a potentially good matchup against Memphis’ breakout offense.

Read on to find out our two favorite players in Friday’s prime time matchup.

Dean Conners 56.5+ Rushing Yards

Rice’s offense has been improving lately and Conners remains a high running back candidate.

While he’s had some trouble surpassing that mark, he’s proven he can beat expectations by rushing for over 100 yards in three games this season. Overall, he averaged nearly six yards per carry throughout the season.

The Owls will try to stay away from an explosive Memphis offense with its tantalizing pace and ability to move the chains. The Tigers’ defensive line is solid but tends to make big gains on the ground, ranking outside the top 100 in explosive offensive rate.

Sure, there may be some offenses with little to no yards, but Rice’s offense continues to improve as the season progresses and I believe this is the best way to catch him.

Seth Henigan Under 273.5 Passing Meters

Memphis’ quarterback has an incredibly high pitch, which we clearly see in last week’s 454-yard rushing loss against UTSA. However, I believe we could see limited possessions and a closed ceiling for the Tigers against Rice’s rushing offense that plays at a bottom 30 pace in terms of seconds per play.

The Tigers may also be starting wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee, which could limit his ability to play solid Rice pass defense that ranks in the top 30 in EPA/Play.

Henigan has exceeded that mark in five of nine games this season, which is considered a fairly average result for him.

But given some of the factors laid out in this, I believe we’ll see it fall short of the total.
