Woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in Los Angeles was detained

Police detained a woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.

According to information later confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department, police were called to the Washington Boulevard area and five people were called to the scene.^he Avenue just after 2:45 a.m. Tuesday on a report of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police teams arriving at the scene found a person with a stab wound on his upper body.

A man was seen in the car with what appeared to be blood on his face; It is not known whether the incident occurred inside the vehicle.

It was learned that the condition of the person, who was hospitalized as of 07.30, is not yet known.

News broadcasting service KNN captured the woman detained on the sidewalk next to the car in which the man was sitting. The woman was not immediately identified.

In an update provided to KTLA shortly after 7:30 a.m., LAPD said the woman remained in police custody but had not been formally arrested. It was also confirmed that she and the man were in a relationship.

LAPD is investigating the motive behind the stabbing. No further details were available.
