3 young people who broke into Chai Chee’s house and stole $500 were caught, the police confiscated their clothes

A male and two female youths, aged between 18 and 20, were charged with burglary and theft with common intent.

Police were alerted to allegations that a house on Chai Chee Road was broken into at around 9.30pm on November 11 and $500 in cash was stolen.

During later investigations, Bedok Police Department teams identified the three suspects with the help of police cameras and CCTV images and detained them within a day.

The clothes they wore while committing the crime were confiscated, and $100 was also taken back.

The trio appeared in court on November 14.

The crime of house burglary and theft with common intent is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a judicial fine.
