Man wanted in connection with GO train attacks in Pickering identified

The search continues for a man accused of violently assaulting two women on a GO train in Pickering, several hours apart.

Police identified the suspect as Christopher Otoo, 31, of Clarington.

Both incidents occurred on Monday.

Police were initially called to the Pickering GO station at around 7.40pm after a woman traveling on the eastbound train at 6.50pm said she was assaulted by the man. Police said the suspect struck the victim multiple times in the face before getting off the train.

The second attack took place on an eastbound train at 20.20, and the police intervened around 21.20. A woman said that the same man also attacked her.

Otoo is wanted on three counts of assault causing bodily harm, assault, theft under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.
