Fireworks injured 15 police officers on day of pro-Palestinian protests in Italy

“Many law enforcement officers were taken to the emergency room due to explosives and clashes.

“I hope some politicians will stop protecting or legitimizing this violence and join in unequivocally condemning such serious and unworthy events.”

Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi condemned what he called “unbearable” unrest.

He said: “Today, during a march in Turin, we once again witnessed intolerable violence as demonstrators violated the instructions of the police station and changed the route, trying to reach the entrance to the prefecture.”
