Pop star Charli XCX talked about how her parents took her to parties where she performed when she was just 15 years old.

When trying to define the word on SNL, he referred to an incident in which US businesswoman Martha Stewart falsely claimed that a journalist covering her legal proceedings had died.

“Martha gets angry about an old magazine article and says she’s glad the journalist who wrote it is dead – this brat,” he said.

“And last Friday, the same journalist responded and said: ‘Hey, ‘I’m alive…’ – that’s extremely brat.”

Charli, who also appeared on the show as a musical guest, continued: “Honestly, anyone can be a brat.”

“It’s very brat keeping it real, it’s all about being vulnerable, so it’s really a dream come true,” she said.

“I’m so excited to be here and I’m not used to being out this early on a Saturday night but it’s worth it for you.”

Charli has previously described the brat as an honest, outspoken and “a little volatile” girl who is “overwhelmed but loves to party in the process.”
