A pioneer for women in business life

A pioneer for women in business life

A pioneer for women in business, Shanesha Deonauth has managed to expand her floristry business with the opening of a third location and aims to make her floristry business a household name.
Living up to her motto of “blooming with possibilities,” Deonauth told Pepperpot Magazine that her parents have been her mentors since she was a child, teaching her the flower business. However, he developed a deep connection and love for investing in the business and branching out on his own. It is planned to open its third flower shop at Leisure Inn, New Amsterdam, Berbice.

Deonauth has two other flower shops located in Movie Towne, East Coast Demerara and West Central Mall, West Coast Demerara.
Her parents, who own Nesha’s Flowerland, have been in the business for 35 years, opening their first store in Washington DC, USA.

Deonauth is an American-based Guyanese who has spent the better part of a decade learning the ins and outs of the flower industry in the family business, with strong female role models like Nesha’s mother, Nesha, from the Land of Flowers. She set out on her own in 2022 and saw the opportunity to provide a high-quality, professional service to those looking for personalized flowers.
Deonauth told Pepperpot Magazine that he studied at the University of Guyana (UG) and Dalian University of Technology in China.

One of the most beautiful bouquets

The enterprising businesswoman also combines her passion for business with a successful lecturer career, having spent several years teaching both at UG and in China.
With a firm ambition to expand her business empire in the years to come, Deonauth recommends every woman considering starting a business to take the leap.
“While getting started can be difficult, especially as a woman in business, there is no better time to start than now. I love Guyana, my family raised me there; That’s where I want to give back. Economically, Guyana is a land of opportunity. “I truly believe that if you have a quality product and the experience to market it, Guyana will make it happen for you,” he said.

Deonauth explained that in his flower venture, he wants to represent both small and big achievements and events in people’s lives through flowers sourced locally and abroad in all varieties and colors to meet customers’ floral needs.
Having grown up in the flower business, she is passionate about expressing herself in business as a collective with her team of 18 people, including florists at all three locations.
Deonauth stated that he is dedicated to succeeding and that even when he goes to China, he will return to work at his family’s flower shop for Valentine’s Day.

Available at all Shanesha’s Flowerland locations

Learning from the best, Shanesha’s Flowerland aims to provide its customers with the highest quality flowers and excellent service.
“With flowers for every occasion, we hope to make all your moments a little more special,” she said.
Shanesha’s Flowerland features an abundance of fresh flowers at all three venues, including dozens of roses, customized packaging, florals, and color-coordinated bouquets for every occasion and event.

In-store, bridal, birthday, wedding, prom, bracelet and boutonniere flowers are also available, and hand-painted roses can also be purchased.
“If there is an event or occasion, we cater to your floral needs with personalized and personalized services, even providing a bookworm bouquet or made-to-order flowers,” she said.
Deodat also gives back to the community through his flower shops, and whenever he donates to an individual or organization, he often does so behind the scenes, out of the limelight.
Since I was grounded in responsibilities at a young age, I was able to become independent and pursue my own path in the flower business. “I have worked to expand my goals and contribute to the development of my country, Guyana, which gives me real happiness and I am happy to be here to invest,” he said.
