Escambia County Sheriff’s Officials arrest man for theft

ECAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – Florida’s Escambia County Sheriff’s Office announced a theft arrest was made on Sunday.

It is stated that on 11/17/2024 units responded to a burglary at the Quick Stop in the 8700 block of Chemstrand Rd.

Authorities said the suspect, who first tried to break into the caller’s home, was caught by Deputies Robert Campbell and Don Campbell while running away.

ECSO said burglary tools were seized and the back door was damaged.

Authorities said Trenton Devaughn was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools and a misdemeanor.
