3 people died in two separate traffic accidents

Three people lost their lives in separate road accidents in Meru, Busia and Kilifi districts.

In Meru, on November 15, 2024, a motor vehicle was involved in an accident on Kina-Garbatula Road in Albert Meru area.

The driver was carrying two passengers.

In the police report, it was stated that the left rear tire of the motor vehicle burst while cornering and rolled over twice while landing on the right side of the road.

The driver, who suffered serious head injuries as a result of the accident, died at the scene.

Two other passengers also suffered serious injuries and were taken to Garbatula district hospital for medical treatment.

The body of the deceased was taken to Nyambene Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The vehicle was taken to the police station with a tow truck and kept for inspection.

The accident occurred on the Bumala-Port Victoria road in Mundere area in Busia District on Saturday.

The accident involved an unregistered motorcycle traveling from Nambengele towards the general direction of Port Victoria.

Meanwhile, he collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle carrying two passengers.

Due to the impact of the accident, a driver suffered serious head injuries and died during the sport.

The other driver and his two passengers suffered head injuries and all were taken to Port Victoria district hospital for medical treatment.

The body of the deceased was taken to the morgue of the same institution for autopsy.

The two motorcycles were taken to the police station for examination.

In Kilifi, the accident occurred on the Kilifi-Malindi Road in Mkoroshoni district on Saturday.

According to the police report, a motor vehicle traveling from Malindi towards Kilifi collided with an unknown motorcycle carrying passengers.

The driver, who suffered serious head injuries as a result of the accident, died at the scene.

The passenger, who was slightly injured in the accident, was taken to Kilifi District Hospital and received treatment.

The body of the deceased was taken to the morgue of the same institution for autopsy.

While the motorcycle was taken from the scene by unidentified people, police pursuit efforts continue.
