Machinery seized in Stapenhill as Staffordshire Police target rural crime

Staffordshire Police have seized stolen factory machinery worth an estimated £60,000.

The excavator and dump truck, each worth around £30,000, were stolen from a construction site in Burton-on-Trent in February.

He was found by officers searching an address near Burton Road in Stapenhill on Saturday.

A spokesman for the force said Staffordshire was 80 per cent rural and officers focused on targeting those involved in rural crime, including agricultural, equine, wildlife and heritage crime.
