Theft was reported at a smoke shop in Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – Grand Island Police are reviewing security cameras to determine who broke into a smoke shop over the weekend.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm at VIP Smoke Shop on South Locust Street around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a smashed front door and missing items.

Capt. Dean Elliott said a brick was likely used to break into the store, causing about $1,500 in damage. Elliott added that the suspect made off with four boxes of THCA products worth about $500.

While no arrests have been made, the investigation continues.
