Predictions of freezing temperatures have led the council to guarantee short stays for rough sleepers in icy weather.

Reading Borough Council, along with homeless charity St Mungo’s, has activated the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) and said this will remain in place until at least Monday.
