Dan Hennessey, Children’s Voice Actor, Dies at 82

Voice actor Dan Hennessey, known for his roles in children’s TV series Little Bear, Care Bearsand more died. He was 82 years old.

News of Hennessey’s death came on Tuesday, November 19, when his family confirmed it. TMZ He said he slept through it while at home due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.

Born in Toronto, Canada, in 1941, Hennessey became interested in children’s entertainment in the 1970s and eventually became a staple of children’s animated television programs. His best-known roles include Papa Bear; Little BearLion Braveheart Care Bearsand Chief Quimby Inspector Gadget.

Hennessey did voice-over work on a number of other notable animated series in the ’80s and ’90s. Jayce and the Wheel Warriors, dinosaurs, RoboCop, Police Academy: The Animated Series, police officers, insect juice, Super Mario Bros. Adventures of 3, raccoons, Babar, Super Mario World, The Adventures of Tintin, hammerman, Monster Power, X-Men, Flaming Dragonsand much more.
