Demonstrators painted the entrance to the Rotterdam arms fair with fake blood

Three people were arrested for spraying fake blood on the walls of the Ahoy exhibition center, where the “defense and security” fair was held in Rotterdam, the news site said. Nu.nl reported Thursday morning.

Nu.nl said about 100 demonstrators had gathered in groups outside the complex and riot police were also present.

Campaigners say the aim of the fake blood protest is to “make fair attendees confront the blood they are responsible for around the world”.

The fair is an annual event organized by the Dutch defense industry and includes 140 exhibitors. companies and organizations from around the world, including several from Israel. Dutch telecom company KPN is there as the main sponsor.

Last week, KPN’s offices were also covered in paint and fake blood in protest of their participation in the trade fair.
