Hidalgo married in intimate Houston ceremony

The couple got their marriage certificate back on October 30. Judge Mike Engelhart recently made sure they were officially married by signing the license during a “paper wedding.” Texas.

Mayor Whitmire’s deleted comment attracted attention

But before the ceremony, the couple made headlines for a different reason. Houston Mayor John Whitmire posted a now-deleted comment on social media about Hidalgo’s now-husband, David. Comment: “Great. “It sure looks like a cow.”

Whitmire’s team explained that it was all in fun and that he had no ill intentions. The mayor wished the couple well and went on his way.

Hidalgo told KPRC 2: “Whether she did it as a joke or not, whether she intended it to be public or not, she did the right thing by deleting it. Truth be told, both David and I are nerds. And I can’t wait to marry her.”

The couple is planning to get married in December

Even though they’re legally newlyweds, Hildago has plans for a bigger celebration with an official wedding abroad on December 1.

For now, they are all enjoying this exciting new chapter together.
