The argument escalated until Cantrell “got tired of arguing” and grabbed a 10.5-inch knife and swung it at her boyfriend, the citation states.

The man managed to escape, and the citation said this made Cantrell even angrier, so Cantrell threw the knife at him. He jumped to the side and the knife narrowly hit him.

Cantrell was arrested on a charge of 1st degree wanton endangerment and taken to the Rowan County Detention Center. He is being held on $5,000 bond.
