One person was detained after the stabbing in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh Police say a man is in custody following a stabbing Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a gun call in the 700 block of Nicolet Boulevard around 11:20 a.m. Thursday, police said in a news release issued Friday. In the call, it was said that a woman stabbed a man.

The man was already gone when officers arrived. He was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance.

Police said during the chaos, the man entered the woman’s home without her consent, physically assaulted her and prevented her from leaving.

Police said the man and woman knew each other and this was an isolated incident. The 29-year-old Oshkosh man is in custody for Disorderly Conduct, False Imprisonment, Damage to Property and Battery.
