Edgbaston: Murder arrest after man shot dead and another seriously injured

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was shot dead in Birmingham.

The man, in his 20s, was found dead inside a car after police were called to Rotton Park Road, near the junction with City Road in Edgbaston, just before 11pm GMT on Friday.

West Midlands Police added that a second man, aged in his 30s, was found injured at the bus stop and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

While the arrested man in his 30s remained in custody, police and roads were closed at the scene.
