1 person died and 5 people were injured after two cars collided in Brampton

One person was killed and five others were injured after a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, Peel Regional Police said.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Gorewood Drive and Finch Boulevard in Brampton at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, a man with life-threatening injuries was pronounced dead at the scene. Five other people were injured in the crash, including one person who was taken to a local trauma center with critical injuries.

Officers said the investigation by the Peel Regional Police Major Collision Bureau is ongoing.

No other details were released.
