Cher Recalls Deciding to ‘Rent’ Her Virginity at 14 and Having ‘Revenge Sex’ with a Boy Who ‘Dismissed’ Her: ‘I Was So Angry’

The music icon shares in her new memoir that her first sex experience was a “hugely exaggerated experience”

In your new memories Cher: Memoir, Part OneThe singer and actress recalls the circumstances that led to her first sexual experience, which aired on Tuesday, November 19, and describes it as “extremely exaggerated.”

Cher recalls writing that she had a crush on a boy in her neighborhood and that they started dating when she was 14 and would kiss in his bedroom.

But soon the “Believe” singer noticed that the boy’s behavior changed when his friends were around. “(She) was sweet enough when she was alone, but as soon as her friends came over, she started treating me like an embarrassing child,” she details.

One day, when the boys were planning to go to a restaurant, they laughed and sarcastically asked her boyfriend if he would bring “that boy,” at which point he immediately “dumped” her, she said.

“I was so hurt when he did this that I had revenge sex with him. I had never asked for it. Otherwise I would have done it one of the other five hundred times he asked,” Cher writes. “But I was so angry at being fired that I decided to lend him my virginity even if I didn’t lose it.”

“When what turned out to be a hugely over-the-top experience was over, I asked him, ‘Is that it? Are we done?’ “Then I told him to go home and never come back,” she continues, adding, “I wanted him to feel as rejected as he did me.”

Cher states that the boy later tried to make it up to her, but she never spoke to him again.

burlesque star He also explains that his mother’s voice was ringing in his ears after the first sex. “My mother warned me that she would know the moment I lost my virginity because she would see it in my eyes, so after my romp with the Italian, I ran to the mirror to check,” she writes.

“I was expecting to see the word SEX flashing in fluorescent letters on my forehead, but I didn’t notice anything different, and neither did he,” she adds.
