Today at 12:21 a.m., the Dare County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received a 911 call regarding a person stabbed in the 150 block of Etheridge Road on Roanoke Island. Deputies arrived at the area and apprehended the person without incident.

Mr. Dylan Riggs (M/18) of Manteo, NC, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill causing serious injury.

Mr. Riggs is currently being held without bond at the Dare County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

The Manteo Police Department assisted with this call.
