LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating a burglary at a vape store in North Lincoln early Monday morning.

Just before 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in at the Lincoln Vapor near North 27th and Fairfield streets.

Police said two men wearing black hooded T-shirts and carrying backpacks broke down the store’s front door.

According to police, the two entered the store and made off with approximately $2,000 worth of e-cigarette products.

There have been 14 burglaries and three attempted burglaries at nine different e-cigarette shops in Lincoln so far this year.

Six of these have occurred since Oct. 15, police said.

Investigators estimate total damage to be around $25,000, with approximately $9,000 worth of stolen items. Four of the incidents were cleared, while the remaining are still under investigation.
