A YouTuber who was seriously injured during a dangerous stunt he shared on social media nearly five years ago underwent a five-hour operation to restore his vision.

At the age of 30, Jeff Wittek appeared in a video with the internet personality and friend. YouTuber David Dobrik saw himself dangling from a rope attached to a digger operated by a then-23-year-old Dobrik.

“Thank you for all your kind words and support, I already feel like I could walk through a brick wall.”

Now he’s taking Dobrik to court for ‘general negligence and intentional tort’ and is seeking $10 million in damages for the botched stunt.

In the lawsuit filed seen By TMZ Wittek claims he had to pay multiple hospital bills and lost income as a result of the accident fees and also claims loss of earning capacity.

He also noted how he initially acted because he thought the digger would only be used to spin participants on a wakeboard above the water, before Dobrik suggested that people should just swing by holding the rope.
