Man added to Crimestoppers’ most wanted list after sexual assault at Glasgow train station

A man has been added to Crimestoppers’ “most wanted” list following a sexual assault at a train station in Scotland.

British Transport Police are still searching for a man following an attack on a woman aged 13 and over at Thornliebank railway station on May 1.

An appeal has been made to locate a man they believe is vital to the investigation, but he has not yet been identified.

The man is described as having a Middle Eastern appearance, being in his mid-twenties, having short black hair and wearing a dark navy blue tracksuit.

His top zipper had a white and light blue pattern on his chest. The bottoms had two light blue stripes on each outer side. He was also wearing a pair of grey/brown sneakers.

A statement on Crimestoppers’ website said: “Detectives from British Transport Police are continuing their efforts to identify a male who may assist an ongoing investigation.

“The incident in question involves an attack on a woman at Glasgow Thornliebank Railway Station on Wednesday 1 May 2024.

“Despite previous calls from the media, the male has not yet been identified. Detectives are seeking the assistance of Crimestoppers to identify this man, who is believed to be vital to the progress of the investigation.”
