Women’s Parents Recreate Their Outfits on a Barbie Doll

A truly one-of-a-kind gift.

Fashion creator Berenice Castro, who shares the name Benulus on the internet, shared a post that has now gone viral. tiktok that his parents and sister surprised him with a completely unique gift: a barbie doll that they personally customized it to resemble him.

In the video, Castro, 28, receives a Barbie doll from her mother, an “early birthday gift for your 28th (birthday)” and is overwhelmed. The doll’s outfit is a recreation of an outfit she wore. published online I returned in June. Castro wrote that he “never imagined this.”

Her family filmed part of the process of customizing the doll. They cut the baby’s feet to fit the boots, and her mother used the sewing machine to intricately recreate every part of her outfit. The outfit itself consisted of leopard print leggings, a leopard print crop top, a sheer brown beaded dress, a brown corset, thick layers of necklaces and bracelets, chunky pearl earrings, and a matching brown hat. Castro completed the original look with sunglasses and a leopard-print bag, and the doll had her own matching set.

“My mom never had a Barbie growing up,” Castro wrote in the video. “But that was never the case for their daughter.” While her mother hand-sewed beads onto the dress, her younger sister carefully drew a replica of her turquoise eye makeup, and her father used tweezers to create custom Barbie-sized jewelry and put them on the doll.

“She even made the same corset,” Castro wrote over pictures of the tiny, lace-up bodice her mother created.

When Castro received the baby, she immediately began to cry and said, “She is beautiful.” She included a video of the original outfit to show what amazing fun her parents created.

Castro hugged his mother and wrote on the video: “(I) started crying even harder when he showed me that SHE did this with her own hands. I’d like to think you healed some of your inner child with this. He and his mother posed with the doll, both grinning

“I am a Barbie collector,” Castro wrote. “Nothing could be more valuable than this.”

According to TikTok, the video of Castro’s unique gift has received nearly 3 million views and 650 thousand likes so far.
