Kane responds to criticism that he doesn’t score enough goals in big games

Despite all the goals he scored in his career, critics accused Harry Kane of not producing enough in big matches.

Asked for his opinion on this matter, the England captain said the following at a press conference on Monday:

“Maybe this is a little bit short of the target because I scored goals against big teams last season.

“I try to score goals and help the team in every match. We have an important week ahead of us.

“I’m not going to judge my performance solely on goals, as I always do. If we win three now and I don’t score, I’ll still be happy,” said Kane ahead of Bayern’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old player has found the net 64 times in 62 matches for Bayern Munich since his transfer from Tottenham last summer.
