1 person died in an accident near the lake

MISSOULA, Mont. — A 28-year-old Kalispell man died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash that occurred Oct. 29 at Lakeside Boulevard and U.S. 93.

A 52-year-old Kalispell man was driving an Audi southbound on Lakeside Boulevard when he approached the right curve, according to a report from the Montana Highway Patrol.

The vehicle traveled on the left side of the road, striking several rocks, part of a residence and a boulder before rolling down an embankment.

The 28-year-old passenger was removed from the plane by ambulance and transported to Logan Health. The passenger died on November 3.

The accident report states that alcohol, drugs and speed are being investigated as suspicious factors.
