3 people arrested for trying to smuggle phones, drugs and alcohol into Federal Prison

GRANT PARISH, La. (HEART) – According to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office, three suspects from South Louisiana were arrested for attempting to smuggle cell phones, drugs and alcohol into the Federal Penitentiary.

Kolby Mitchell, 27, of Abbeville, Tayjha Alfred, 24, of New Iberia, and Shemar Collette, 28, of New Iberia, were arrested for attempted introduction of contraband into a prison and possession of marijuana.
