Man granted bail in murder case of Milton Keynes woman

A man arrested on suspicion of killing a woman in her home has been released on police bail.

Emergency services were called to a property in Holywell Place, Milton Keynes, in the early hours of Saturday.

Thames Valley Police said the woman, 42-year-old Carol Georgiou, later died in hospital.

Police said an autopsy had been carried out but the cause of Ms Georgiou’s death was still undetermined.

They said “further forensic testing” was needed.

Det Ch Insp Mike Roddy said: “We are continuing our investigation into this tragic incident and Carol’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.

“I would once again appeal to anyone who believes they have any information that could assist our investigation to call us on 101 or report online.”
