Lea Hall Football Club is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year and the club’s under-11s are kicking off the new season in new home and away kits following a £1,000 donation from a Staffordshire firm.

Originally starting with just three teams and training at the Rugeley Leisure Center on Burnthill Lane in 2000, the club has now grown to over 14 teams in age groups from 4 to 16 years.

The club hosts weekly training sessions and competes as part of the Mid Staffordshire Junior League.

Vice-chairman and Under-11s manager Anthony Wilby said: “We are all proud of how hard each and every member of the team has worked.

“As a club we are committed to ensuring that every part of our sponsorship is aimed at providing children with the best opportunities.

“JCB’s generosity means a lot to the players. When they walk on the pitch every weekend in smart jerseys, it helps them increase their self-confidence and make them proud of their team.

“It’s been a fantastic start to the season and as we prepare to celebrate our club’s 25th anniversaryThis It’s great to go out in style on your anniversary.
