LaGuardia passengers evacuated from New York terminals due to ‘police activity’

According to reports and social media posts, passengers at LaGuardia Airport were evacuated Saturday morning due to “police activity” that could cause flight disruptions.

Potential passengers were moved from the terminals to the complex’s parking lot early Saturday morning. PIX11’s Arrianee LeBeau featured video.

The airport’s official X page confirmed that police activity at Terminal B was likely to disrupt flight plans but did not say what triggered the chaos.

The passengers were then moved to the car park, overwriting the X.

“Well that’s not good, I was about to go through security at LaGuardia Terminal B when the TSA stopped all screening and then told everyone to evacuate the terminal,” Roger Batson wrote.

It was not immediately clear whether the evacuation had extended beyond Terminal B.
