Rams Coach Turns Down the Concept of the Fall on Its Head

The Los Angeles Rams’ home loss to the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football disappointed Rams head coach Sean McVay for many reasons. But arguably one of the most important reasons was how the team looked different from the three games that ended in home defeats.

After starting 1-4, the Rams have started to get healthier over the last few weeks and their records show it. The Rams’ play gradually improved as critical Rams players who missed time due to injuries returned.

Until the Dolphins came to town on Monday night and seemingly kept the Rams off balance all night long. McVay noted how he and his team were digesting the loss.

“This was an unusual situation,” McVay said. “You say, ‘Hey, I think we’re a lot closer to the team that wins three games.’ You can’t allow a three-hour window, there were some positives from the defense in some cases, different things like that and special teams.

But as frustrating as the loss was, McVay believes it was a valuable teaching tool overall for a relatively young Rams team. He plans to use his loss as a lesson for the team.

“There are a lot of good learning opportunities from an offensive standpoint,” McVay said. “I liked the way the guys came back. If there’s one thing I know about this football team, it’s resilience, grit, mental toughness and responsiveness.

“I think they’ve had a good week and I’m looking forward to ending the week the right way today. It’s a big challenge going to Foxborough. They’ve got positive momentum but I expect our players to be ready to play well.”

With so many games to play, a loss to the Dolphins will either derail the Rams’ season or be a midseason wake-up call for a team with this situation. potential We aim to qualify for the play-offs.

Time will tell which will be the case for a Rams team to get into the running.
