70-year-old Okaloosa County man faces child sexual assault and child pornography charges

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (WALA) – A Fort Walton Beach man is facing multiple charges, including child sexual assault.

Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputies arrested 70-year-old Hugh Logan Jackson at his home on Pocahontas Drive on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office says Jackson sexually assaulted a child between the ages of 7 and 10 multiple times between April 2019 and August 2021. Investigators also say they found more than 250 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse on electronic devices belonging to the victim. To Jackson.

The victim’s mother filed a report with the department last month after the boy said Jackson did “inappropriate things” to him, according to the arrest report.

He is charged with sexual assault on a victim under the age of 12, promoting a sexual performance by more than 30 children, and possessing more than 30 counts of child pornography.
